A while ago an expression was shared with me. The Japanese believe that people wear three masks. One they show the outside world,one they show family and friends,and one they show themselves. I don't remember how exactly I came accross this expression but it stuck with me for a decade plus. It shows that people act differently depending on who is around. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing but it can bring out the best or the worst in you.
